Deputation

2 weeks…that’s when we start “full-time deputation”. We’ll be leaving our jobs in Virginia and hitting the road to be in meetings and mission conferences around the country.

So what is this thing called “deputation” anyway?

Deputation is a time when missionaries receive the approval and support they need to fulfill their calling on the mission field. We will be visiting churches throughout the US to present our ministry. Just like everyone else, we will have monthly bills in Cambodia, and the financial support of God’s people are what will enable us to stay there to spread the Gospel. More than that, the friendship and partnership we hope to establish with these churches are what will provide the prayer support so vital for a fruitful ministry.

We know this will be an exciting and challenging phase of our ministry, and we can’t wait to share what the Lord has laid on our hearts. Please pray that God will pair us with the churches that He wants to support us, and that He will give us the physical and spiritual strength we need.
